Local offers
A customer benefit and a partner reward. Keep them separate.
Create offers customers can bring to your counter, while rewarding the person who referred a verified paid purchase. Keep the offer practical for the people serving customers.
A concrete starting point
Illustrative café example: after the customer discount, eligible spend is $20, excluding tax and tips. A 5% partner reward is $1. The customer benefit is a separate business cost.

Share through approved partners; verify paid purchases before commission.
Two promises, two calculations
The customer benefit may be a discount or another stated offer. The affiliate reward may be fixed or percentage-based. Explain qualifying items, exclusions and any minimum spend. Staff apply the customer benefit manually in the existing register. A pass is evidence of an offer journey—not proof that payment occurred.
Bound the offer before sharing it
Select valid locations and schedule days/hours with the business timezone in mind. Set available budget, maximum reward or per-partner caps where appropriate. Limits control eligibility and exposure; they do not reserve cash or guarantee performance. Check the final review for the whole schedule, not just the percentage.
Keep the customer journey recognizable
An approved partner shares a personalized offer link. The customer opens the offer and obtains a pass to show at the counter. Staff scan that customer pass or enter its code, check eligibility, apply the benefit, take payment and submit the paid purchase. Finance then reviews it.
Review the real purchase
Eligible spend is the amount after the customer discount, excluding tax and tips. Staff can attach a receipt, and customer-submitted receipt claims are also supported. Both need merchant verification. A reservation, scan or submitted claim alone never creates a commission.
Good questions
Does the customer discount reduce the reward base?
Yes. Calculate against eligible paid spend after the discount, excluding tax and tips.
Can a receipt create a commission by itself?
No. The business must verify the paid claim before a commission is created.
