QR & counter checkout
A personal link. A checkout pass. Your existing register.
Give the customer a simple pass and staff a clear checkout sequence. Heaven’s Edge records the referral and paid-purchase claim; your register continues to take payment.
A concrete starting point
Illustrative journey: a customer opens a partner’s personalized offer link and gets a checkout pass attributed to that partner. The customer shows its QR or code at the counter. Opening or scanning alone never earns commission.

How the work moves forward
- 1
Partner shares a personalized offer link; customer opens it and gets a checkout pass.
- 2
Assigned staff scan the customer pass or enter its code and check the offer.
- 3
Staff manually apply the benefit in the register and take the customer’s payment.
- 4
Submit the paid claim; finance verifies it and a pending commission is recorded.
- 5
After the hold and approval, the business pays externally and records the payout.
Start with a personalized link
Partners copy and share their personalized offer link. It carries the referral into the customer’s checkout pass, which staff scan or check by code. A promotional QR for printed materials is optional and simply opens the same link; it is not required for sharing or proof of a purchase.
The register stays under your control
There is no connection that pushes discounts into a POS. Staff apply the agreed benefit themselves, take payment through the existing register, and record the eligible amount. Use the amount after discount, excluding taxes and tips, so the referral record matches the receipt.
Camera optional, connection required
Camera permission makes scanning convenient, but code entry is the fallback when a camera is unavailable or permission is denied. The system needs internet access to check and submit passes; it is not an offline register mode. Train staff on which code they should enter and where to find the offer terms.
Checkout staff are not finance approvers
Assigned staff can act only within their allowed location context. They submit claims; authorized finance users verify paid evidence. Customers may submit a claim and receipt themselves, but it enters review rather than bypassing the business. Receipt images are restricted, not public marketing assets.
Good questions
What if a customer forgot to scan at the counter?
A supported customer receipt claim can be submitted for business review. It does not guarantee attribution or approval.
Can every staff member verify commissions?
No. Checkout staff submit location-scoped claims; finance verification and payment approval require separate authority.
