Restaurants
Give a good recommendation a clear next step.
Create a practical dining offer that staff can recognize and finance can verify, without changing the restaurant’s register.
Start with the people
Who could you invite?
Invite regular guests, neighborhood creators and adjacent businesses whose audiences genuinely fit your restaurant. Explain exclusions and ask them to describe the experience honestly rather than promising a universal discount.
Offer ideas to adapt
- A stated weekday dining benefit, valid at one location.
- A fixed reward for a qualifying paid table purchase above a minimum.
- A limited menu offer with a total budget and clear exclusions.
Illustrative ideas. Choose your own economics and terms.
Make the numbers explicit
Illustrative: a table pays $60 in eligible menu spend after the benefit, excluding tax and tips. At 5%, the partner reward is $3. Neither the percentage nor the benefit assumes your margin.

A realistic workflow for restaurants
- 1
Choose a manageable service window and qualifying menu items.
- 2
Approve partners and give them personalized offer links to share.
- 3
Customer brings a pass; staff check the conditions and manually apply the benefit.
- 4
Take payment and submit the paid claim with a receipt where needed.
- 5
Finance verifies eligible spend; the reward waits through review before payout.
The operational details matter
Protect service flow
Brief front-of-house staff before sharing. A pass needs internet access, with code entry if scanning is awkward. Decide how to handle split bills, exclusions and customers who arrive outside the offer window; do not invent a commission on an unverified table.
Separate gratuities from eligible spend
Taxes and tips are not the local reward base. Confirm the amount after the customer benefit, and document what food or drink qualifies. Choose a reward that you can fund alongside the benefit and operating costs.
Keep proof and payment separate
A reservation or restaurant booking does not earn commission. Customer receipt claims can enter review, but finance still checks payment and attribution. You pay approved partners externally and record the reference.
Questions for your business
Can we reward a reservation?
Not as a lead-only event. Rewards require a qualifying paid purchase.
Does the pass update our register?
No. Staff apply the benefit manually in the existing register.
