Ecommerce

Connect the recommendation to the purchased basket.

Use configured paid-order notifications or your own reporting path, then keep refunds and eligibility visible. Your customer stays in your checkout.

Start with the people

Who could you invite?

Invite existing customers, niche creators and complementary brands you trust. Share approved product material, attribution guidance and clear disclosure expectations.

Offer ideas to adapt

  • A percentage reward on eligible purchased items.
  • A fixed reward for a qualifying first paid basket under your rules.
  • A campaign for selected products with documented exclusions.

Illustrative ideas. Choose your own economics and terms.

Make the numbers explicit

Illustrative: $100 of eligible purchased items produces a $5 reward at 5%. A verified $20 eligible-item refund reduces that reward by $1. Shipping and tax treatment must be defined correctly in your setup.

A realistic workflow for ecommerce

  1. 1

Choose Stripe Checkout, Shopify, WooCommerce, server API or manual/CSV as appropriate.

  2. 2

Configure paid-sale and refund reporting securely and run a referral test.

  3. 3

Approve partners; map any store discount codes in the actual store.

  4. 4

Review attributed paid orders and their evidence labels.

  5. 5

After the hold, approve commissions and record external partner payouts.

The operational details matter

Configured is not one-click

Signed store notifications must be set up. There is no native Square/PayPal connector or universal checkout plugin. An authenticated server API is an option for other systems; manual evidence remains a fallback with a different provenance label.

Eligible items matter

A paid order total is not automatically the reward base for every program. Define item exclusions and check refund mapping. Delayed or duplicate provider events should not create repeated rewards; missing events still need reconciliation.

Don’t promise perfect tracking

Browser restrictions, device switches and missing referral references can affect matching. Partner codes require merchant configuration and are not automatically created. Attributed revenue is not proof of incremental sales.

Questions for your business

Is PayPal natively connected?

No. Other payment methods require supported server reporting or verified manual/CSV records.

Does a store code exist as soon as I assign it here?

No. You must create or map it in your store and configure matching.
