Affiliate programs

Your program. Your rules. A clear place to start.

Build a program around paid purchases and partners you already know. Separate the reward, referral window, review period and payout expectations before inviting anyone.

A concrete starting point

Illustrative: a business chooses a 5% reward on eligible paid spend, a review hold and a minimum payout. These are example choices—not recommended margins or default promises.

How the work moves forward

  1. 1

Choose your online, in-person or combined channel.

  2. 2

Write the offer, eligibility, reward and partner terms.

  3. 3

Save a draft, check readiness, then publish separately when eligible.

Start with the economics

Choose a percentage or fixed reward that fits your business. Decide which purchases qualify and how refunds affect the reward. Use integer-cent amounts and clearly state any caps. A compelling customer benefit is separate from the commission paid to a partner: budget for both, not just one.

One public place to apply

Your program page explains the offer and terms. Share the application link with customers, creators, local organizations or professional contacts you want to invite. Applications and invitations are managed in the workspace. There is no searchable pool of available affiliates supplied by the platform.

Draft first, publish intentionally

Milo can prepare editable program copy and a reviewed draft. Draft content is not a live offer and saving it does not send invitations. Publication is a separate readiness-checked step, including the required live billing and tracking conditions. Test setup is not permission to operate a live program.

Set expectations before the first referral

Describe the paid-purchase requirement, attribution window, hold period, prohibited promotion and payment process in plain language. Partners should know who handles questions and when earnings become payable. Your agreement with them governs the program; platform policies do not replace it.

Good questions

Will Milo pick my reward automatically?

No. Suggestions are editable, and you must review money terms before confirming.

Does saving a program invite partners?

No. A draft, a published program and a sent invitation are different actions.
