See it in practice
Redeemable loyalty points, made concrete.
Example: earn one point per eligible dollar. A $10.50 purchase before tax and tips earns 10 points. A customer with 120 points can choose an 80-point coffee and keep 40 points.

01
Whole points, understandable earnings
Per-dollar earnings round down to whole points. Staff enter eligible amount paid before tax and tips. Per-visit earning uses the fixed rate you set, after a qualifying paid purchase—not after a scan.
02
A reward menu, not money
Customers see their balance and merchant-listed rewards on their private pass. Points cannot be bought, transferred or cashed out, and are not gift cards. Points currently do not expire.
03
Review before redeeming
Staff see the chosen reward, point cost, current balance and remaining balance before confirming. Your team still provides the item or applies the discount in the register.
04
History that stays understandable
Balances are per program and business. Refunds reverse the original earned points; a negative balance offsets future earnings. Reasoned owner corrections keep an audit history. Closing or trial expiry preserves valid fulfillment and history.
Spark’s single active loyalty program can be stamps OR points. Rise and Summit allow multiple. No payout fee applies to points; no cashout or cross-business points pool.
A couple of good questions
Do points expire?
No. Point expiration controls are not offered in this release.
Can test points pay for a live reward?
No. Test and live balances are kept separate; test records are labeled.
